Article 1: Who TheNASHmag is feeling in the rap scene of G-Town.

Currently the hip hop scene in Ga- Rankuwa is looking good.
A lot of guys are really stepping up and showing what they can do on the mic. The past few weeks I have been collecting a lot of rap music from Ga- Rankuwa cats and they are definatley on the right track. I have been most impressed by 2 artist whom seem to have found their identities and who they wanna be in the game. These artists are Kayso (Kagiso Pelo) and The Sp (Phemelo Sekgabi). I have been blessed enough to meet these guys on both personal and professional levels.
Kayso is a true definition of what local lyricism is about. His metaphores and word play while keeping the flavour of the town he comes from has earned him the respect of many rappers in and beyond Ga- Rankuwa. Kayso is a humble guy who is down to earth and connected to his roots. He believes that doing what you love and putting effort into it brings him ultimate satisfaction.
The Sp is more of an emotional rapper who tells a story on every track he makes. He is also the owner of probably the most recognised hip hop labels on Ga- Rankuwa. Sp has his own tone of voice and you can actually see the story he tells on his music. He is on the verge of dropping his 1st much anticipated mixtape 'The Smash N Grab' this spring. He has dropped 2 tracks from he tape. They are 'Gwa nyiwa ft CIA' and I already won which got over 250 downloads in just 2 weeks. The Sp is a prominent figure in the local gamr. It is believed if you're a rapper in Ga- Rankuwa you have to work with this guy 1st.
Catch them this Sunday at Lesutu Zone 16 front opposite to Total garage. It should be a killer show.
