Article 13: The Smash N Grab review..

Uhhhmmm! This is a review for one of the most anticipated mixtapes in
the Ga- Rankuwa hip hop scene!

The Smash N Grab by sp is one of those raw tapes, with an outlook of
what the hood it represents!

The mixtape has a mixture of selective beats, delivers the type of
energy that will have you thinking about what you are doing in your
everyday life!

The delivery on the tracks is on point and all the featured artists do
not disappoint!
The mixtape features C.I.A , Letsema La fam, Kayso , Slk , BoyPeza and
a few other acts,

I strongly recommend you look out for a track called "Gwa Nyiwa" which
fearures CIA!
And also "BLOW" which features SLK!
I strongly believe that with the right marketing and distribution this
will be the best mixtape to ever come out of Pretoria!

I rate it:
8 out of 10 NASHfists (delivery)
9 out of. 10 NASHfists (originality)
And in overall I rate the whole mixtape 8 out of 10!    #YouHaveBeenNashed

Article 12: Mr Controversial

#GarankuwaHipHop News

The ever controversial LJ Lattrel has leaked pictures of himself in hospital as an answer to the speculation on the streets that there might be beef ensuing between him an a crew of rappers who reside in Zone 6, who didn't take kindly to the things said by LJ on his audio interview with TheNASHradio. Mr Lattrel has said in the latest interview to be released on TheNASHradio "I'm not looking to beef against anyone, but if my honesty gets me in trouble then so be it. I'm used to rappers who can't take criticism and they shall not be famous at my expense. I been to hospital over this shit and if its beef they want then they will have to deal with the consequences".

It seems this story will not end here, and as usual TheNASHmag will be informing you of the latest developing's.

Article 11: DeepInIt Clothing & Music

Here is the perfect chance to get your material to the people.
DeepInIt CM is a shop that will be based in the heart of Ga- Rankuwa, the shop that is the perfect opportunity for fashion designers and musicians to distribute their stuff in a cheaper way and get to the exact target they set out for. DeepInIt is inspired by all the wonderful work seen for many years now in the hood, people have the ability to produce unique music that resembles where they come from and what they want to do. DeepInIt is the perfect platform to showcase these works to the relevant people. It is a challenge to break into the fashion and music industry thus we have decided to launch a physical shop that will be dedicated to selling exclusively music and clothes that is produced locally, it will be a 1 stop shop for all the talent represented by the hood. This is just one of the shops we are planning to operate.

Our appeal is to anyone who is currently a designer or musician and is looking for a distribution deal that will suit them. It is not our intention to rip off anyone or anything, our sole intent is to create a place that everyone can get to, a place that will  be universal and will help bring out the very best of everyone. We want to cut the red tape and change the norm of having people have to sell their clothes at fashion shows and their music at performances. This shop will make it easy for supporters to access what they are looking for. DeepInIt has the perfect marketing to make sure all the stock at the shop reaches the people.

Interested parties are requested to call Naz on 084 2974 723.
This offer is for people currently residing in Pretoria.

We look forward to working with you.

Article 9: Never give up

We live in a society that love stereotypes and where people continue to blaming others for their failure.
Where certain careers are just child's play or not meant for the black society. Instead of cursing the darkness, why don't we try to light the candles? Yes, thngs will not always go according to the plani in the past, but this isn't to say its going to be like that forever. The road to success is full of thorns nd hardshps. You need a strong character and persevering spirit to ensure you get what you want. Lyf is like a wheelbarrow. Unless u push it. There wil b no gng forward.

THERE IS NO GROWTH WITHOUT CHALLENGE AND NO CHALLENGE WIThOUT CHANGE.

The exclusive Smash N Grab Interview

Let me start off by saying thank you for finding time to sit down and talk to TheNASHmag.

TheNASHmag: When did the smash N Grab project start?

Sp:

Around June this year.

TheNASHmag: How many artists are featured on it?
Sp:  About 8 artists featured on the tape.

TheNASHmag: How was the experience working on it?

Sp:  This is the fisrt project I felt I was ready to give to the people....the Weedtape Vol1 & 2 were too raw for the market we aiming for but they did a good job putting the name out there....so SnG is the first hardcopy project by Corner Joint and will be followed by many more, it was fun, challenging, emotional and very educational. It taught me the meaning of perseverance and heart. I was blessed enough to work with people who were dedicated and pushed hard for this tape because they all believe in it.

TheNASHmag: Any chance I might get you to reveal how many tracks are on the tape?

Sp: Hahahaa no way Naz. You will have to wait like the rest of us.

TheNASHmag: Alright, it was and is awsome working with you on this tape though I didn't get a chance to spit anything lol.

Sp: Lol yeah you know man, Corner Joint appreciate TheNASHmag and all other nigaz who believed in this from the get go.

The official release date has been set for 29 September 2012. This tape is proof that the hood has the bestest talent the country has to offer.

Shout out to those who liked the pictures even though they didn't know who we were, shout out to all those who downloaded every track, shout out to those people who pushed for performances and last but not least, thank you to all the people who came out to shows that we did in the past 2 months. I promise you the next ones will be on another level.

Thank you Ga- Rankuwa and God bless.

Article 7: Never forget you.

This is dedicated to a dear friend I lost this week. Life can really kick you hard when you least expect it. life is precious and all of us go through trials and tribulations that can overwhelm us. A young black brother taking his own life when he had so much to live for
. Benjamin was a cool niga who had no beef with anything or anyone. He could have taken the food out his  mouth to feed another hungry person.

I'm writing this blog with tears in my eyes and nothing I say can really describe him.We came a long way, we chased the money together but I guess there was somethings he couldn't tell us, somethings that hurt him so much that he had to go out like that. I took a break and rode down to his town and everything around me remind me of how much joy he brought to the ones close to him.

And now that he's gone, the story unfolds but hey life goes on and I know for sure he wouldn't want us moping around. He wouldn't wish so much pain on so many people.

The thing I'm learning from this experience is that we should all treasure the people  in our lives. Just take time out of your busy day to call that friend you haven't seen in a while. Be the kind of friend who is reliable, the kind someone can talk to. Let's treasure each other and restore our spirit of brother and sisterhood. It's a rough world out there and at the end of the day all we have is each other. Let us all work towards uplifting each other, we are all black, we are all from the hood and we are all going in the same direction.I didn't just lose a friend, I lost someone who showed me the true courage of living with nothing and still being able to wake up and put a smile on his face. God had His plan and we got no choice but to live according to his will.

truthfully I'd rather be writing about something positive. I recognise real when I stare at you my nigas and sisters. Benny you gone hold us down, even when you not around I know you just gone for now, you'll be back in a while.

I'll see you when I get there.
REST IN PARADISE.

Article 6: TheNASHmodels: Thandeka Ncongolo

I promised you a blog post about a model, well I'm about to deliver.

Meet the first model to make it to TheNASHblog. Her name is Thandeka Ncongolo from Mabopane. She is 18 and an aspiring to be a model after she finishes her matric. She finds joy in being a symbol of beauty and I chose her as the first model to be featured on my blog because of her passion and the hard work she has put in her young career. She is not yet out of high school but she has been in the industry for over a year. She is the true example of how beautiful the hood is. A young, smart and beautiful black chick who chose to pursue a career in one of the toughest industries in the world.

She does swim wear and run way modelling and she wants to expand her experience as much as she possibly can. In our recent chat, she mentioned that the reason she fells so strong about this is because of the support she  has received from her family and friends. She is humble and a gentle soul who loves smiling and being around people close to her. She is an indoors kind of person and takes her studies very seriously and never lets her passion overpower her education.

You will definatley see more of her in the future and she is never far away from TheNAShmag. It is people like her who inspire me to do what I do, she believes in making the best of what you have and starting her charity at home. She proudly represents her hometown and to TheNASHmag she is a symbol of courage and dedication. Keep doing what you doing TDK.

Article 5: The Smash N Grab

This is the tape that has had Ga- Rankuwa's hip hop world buzing for a while.
It features the best rappers the hood has got to offers. I have been blessed enough to witness the process of putting together this tape. The people who worked and are still working on this tape have been some of the most dedicated people I have ever met. The likes of Kayso, SLK, B.I and many more, are people who believe in what they do so much that their lives have stopped and started revolving around music. 'The Smash N Grab' for me is tyhe first tape from this hood I feel is properly constructed and so far I haven't seen any rush jobs or mistakes.

Most of the fellas in this tape originate straight out of Ga- Rankuwa. It is a documentation of lyrics in every sense  of the word.
