Article 18: For the broken hearts by: TheNASHmag

We have all been in relationships, and we have all gotten our hearts broken.
As people we are different, we think different, feel different, act different and grief different. Recently, I have been speaking to someone who feels misunderstood, she feels that the people closest to him will never look at him the same again. All this has been caused by her previous relationship as she feels that she can never trust anyone again. She is a very expressive person and she does not believe in living life by society's riles. She is both creative, ambitious and a go-getter.

When one is in a relationship, we tend to trust the other person with the most deepest secrets hoping they do not use that against us, hoping they will understand the path we chose. This is a very bad move when you are dealing with a partner that obsesses over the little things you do, a partner that does not respect your privacy, that does not trust your judgement.

This post is for all those people who thought 'soul mates' exist, who thought 'true love' is not only a reality in fairy tales  People will hurt you, they will make sure your life crashes and burns just because you smoke weed of have a lot of friends of the opposite sex. True love is just a figment if the imagination, something we read about and see on TV, it's not something you can really believe in or count on. People will let you down, they will try their utmost best to ruin your dreams, take away your hopes and just plain fuck with your entire livelihood because you don't see life like they do and after all that shit their best excuse is saying "I only did this because I love you".

Shit, if you love someone you should always be able to look past their mistakes, look past the little faults and fuck ups, look past the bad habits. You should be able to be there for them when you need them most, you should be able to remember what you did to hurt them instead of the shit they did to hurt you. You should be able to be there in their darkest hour. If you really believe in love then I suppose you have the power to forgive and get that no one is perfect. You should be able to say "baby your imperfections make you perfect for me"

Do you believe in love?
